Our Mission is to provide fire protection to the public of Chesterfield County. The association is made up of representatives from the 13 fire departments in the county (Alligator, Bay Springs, Brocks Mill, Cash, Cheraw, Chesterfield, Harris Creek, High Point, Pageland, Patrick, Ruby- Mt. Croghan, Sandhills, & Teals Mill). We meet every quarter for the fellowship and to discuss any business between the departments in the county.
Chesterfield County covers aproximately 800 square miles with 13 fire departments. Three are city/municipality departments, the rest are rural districts with each having from one to five stations. The apparatus range from trucks built by the department, to million dollar ladder trucks. Our ISO ratings vary from 3-10 depending on where you are in the county. We have a very diverse set of departments and coverage areas, from downtown , urban interface, to state forest and wildlife refuge. An automatic aid agreement has been implemented for structure fires and we continue to work together to improve fire protection for Chesterfield County.
